At Shanks Dental Care, we provide NHS dental treatments for children and adults, including all types of preventative and restorative dentistry.
Welcoming all NHS patients, we provide a personal dental service that will include a thorough oral examination and dental treatment plan. Should you require further care, our NHS dentists are more than happy to book a dental appointment that is convenient for you.
We also offer a full range of preventative and cosmetic treatments for private patients. If you're thinking about going private or joining our dental plan, please speak to your dentist or anyone in our team who will be happy to provide you with all the added benefits this offers.
NHS Dental Treatment
You must be registered with a dentist to receive the full range of NHS dental treatment.
Medical History
You'll be asked to complete a full medical history questionnaire prior to your appointment.
Treatment Plan
Your dentist will provide regular check ups, routine treatment & emergency care, if required.
NHS Registration
At the initial stage you will be asked to sign a registration form and arrange your first check-up. Please bring an up-to-date list of any medication you take.
If you want to register your child you should do this at the same time you register yourself. You don't have to wait until your child's teeth grow in, you can register them soon after they're born.
Examination & Treatment Plan
Adults are offered a treatment plan which includes an enhanced clinical examination. You'll then receive any further treatments to maintain and improve your oral health. It is important that you attend appointments as recommended by your dentist.
NHS Treatments
Treatments that you may receive on the NHS include; bridges, crowns, fillings, root canal treatment, scale and polish, wisdom tooth removal or dentures.
